    Comparison of scoring pattern for USMLE CS Exam - Current & New pattern

    Sub component Current CS Exam till May 19,2012 New CS Exam from June 17,2012
    ICE Data gathering( Hx+PE)-SP's uses Checklist.

    Patient notes only(Documentation)- Global rating by Physician raters.    		 PE only-SP uses Checklist

    Hx taking will be assessed with in Patient notes itself using Global rating by Physicians raters.
    CIS All sub components under CIS like Questioning skills, Information sharing skills & Professional manner and rapport will be assessed by SP using Global rating (using series of generic rating scales) SP asses CIS using checklist based on observable behaviors
    SEP SEP will be assesed by SP using rating scales SEP will be assesed by SP using rating scales
